Broken Foot--Broken Ankle

The pictures posted are of my recent surgery on my foot and ankle. At the beginning of this quarter (spring) I fell over a coffee table while cleaning the carpet with a carpet cleaner at my home up at Lake Erie. I was at the house with my main dude "Buddy" the only other male in the house (dog). Upon breaking my ankle, I was off of work for a period of time. The State Prison system does not allow anyone on grounds with cast, walking boot, cane , or crutches.. The ankle was shot and I decided to continue with surgery to alleviate any continued issues with this ankle and foot.. This was my 4th surgery in the past 6 years..Old Age is kicking me in the butt.. I had surgery on my left ankle in 2002, broke my left ankle in 2004, and had surgery that was needed on left foot in 2004, Tore my rotator cuff waxing floor in basement during christmas 2005, and had surgery on shoulder in 2006. Now had complete reconstructive surgery on right ankle. Now have 4 pins, rod, and 2 screws in left ankle and 4 pins in right ankle. Have hardware will travel. Already set off the metal detector at work...........So, now I have a new ankle and I am off work until probably August..So I heading to my house at Lake Erie, right on the Lake, and watch the boats, jetskis, and motorboats drive by....It will be hard but I think I can do it......Glad that I have the house on Catawba Island, I will enjoy this summer off and away from prison......todd
